Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
BID is a death agonist that heterodimerizes with either agonist BAX or antagonist BCL2.
It is a member of the BCL-2 family of cell death regulators and mediates mitochondrial damage induced by caspase-8 (CASP8).
CASP8 cleaves BID, and the COOH-terminal fragment translocates to mitochondria, triggering cytochrome c release and apoptosis.
BID serves as a molecular link between caspase-8 activation and mitochondrial death machinery.
