Product Specific Information
- In sandwich ELISAs, less than 0.05% cross-reactivity with recombinant human MIP-1 beta, MIP-1 gamma, MIP-3 alpha, MIP-3 beta, and recombinant mouse MIP-1 alpha.
- Neutralizes the biological activity of recombinant human CCL3/MIP-1 alpha.
- In chemotaxis assays, partially neutralizes rhMIP-1 beta at 20-fold higher IgG concentration.
- Does not neutralize rmMIP-1 beta or rmMIP-1 alpha.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level: <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
MIP-1α and MIP-1β are CC chemokines involved in immune response to bacterial, viral, parasitic, and fungal infections. They regulate trafficking and activation of inflammatory cells such as macrophages, lymphocytes, and NK cells.
MIP-1α selectively attracts CD8⁺ lymphocytes, while MIP-1β attracts CD4⁺ lymphocytes. Both are potent chemoattractants for B cells, eosinophils, and dendritic cells, active on both human and murine hematopoietic cells.
