- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 2% cross-reactivity with recombinant human KLK1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, and 14 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases with diverse physiological functions. Many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and may serve as biomarkers for cancer and other diseases.
The Kallikrein 7 gene is part of a cluster of fifteen kallikrein subfamily members on chromosome 19. Its enzyme is involved in the proteolysis of intercellular cohesive structures preceding desquamation, the shedding of the outermost epidermal layer.
Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants encoding the same protein.
