Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) is a chymotrypsin-like serine protease of the kallikrein family, produced by the prostate epithelium and abundant in seminal fluid.
It can be detected in the serum of patients with prostatic carcinoma, predominantly complexed with alpha-1-antichymotrypsin (ACT).
A higher proportion of PSA-ACT complex is observed in prostate cancer than in benign prostate hyperplasia.
PSA is commonly used to confirm prostatic acinar cell origin in primary and metastatic carcinoma and to distinguish non-prostatic carcinoma mimics.
