Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional round of desalting.
Recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).


Target Information

The ABCC5 protein belongs to the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily, which mediates molecular transport across cellular membranes.
It is part of the MRP subfamily associated with multidrug resistance and facilitates the export of cyclic nucleotides, contributing to their degradation and elimination.
ABCC5 provides resistance to thiopurine anticancer drugs (6-mercaptopurine, thioguanine) and the anti-HIV drug 9-(2-phosphonylmethoxyethyl)adenine.
This protein may play a role in thiopurine resistance in acute lymphoblastic leukemia and antiretroviral nucleoside analog resistance in HIV-infected patients.
Alternative splicing has been observed, though complete sequence and translation initiation sites remain unclear.
