Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
KRT16 is a member of the keratin gene family, which encodes intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells.
Type I cytokeratins are acidic proteins arranged in heterotypic pairs and clustered on chromosome 17q12–q21.
KRT16 is coexpressed with keratin 14 in epithelial tissues such as esophagus, tongue, and hair follicles.
Mutations in KRT16 are associated with type 1 pachyonychia congenita, non-epidermolytic palmoplantar keratoderma, and unilateral palmoplantar verrucous nevus.
