Target Information

PHC3 is a component of the Polycomb group (PcG) multiprotein PRC1-like complex, which maintains transcriptional repression of many developmental genes such as Hox genes. The PcG PRC1 complex remodels chromatin and modifies histones, mediating monoubiquitination of histone H2A at Lys-119, resulting in heritable changes in chromatin expressibility.
