Amino Acid Sequence of Recombinant Protein:

Preparation:
Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine IGF-I. Anti-Murine IGF-I-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Murine IGF-I matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Murine IGF-I by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. In conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Murine IGF-I (500-P157GBt) as a detection antibody, it allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Murine IGF-I.

Western Blot:
To detect Murine IGF-I by Western blot analysis, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Murine IGF-I is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

IGF1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1)
IGF1 is structurally and functionally related to insulin but has much higher growth-promoting activity. It induces diverse cellular responses including proliferation, differentiation, migration, and survival. IGF1 stimulates cell proliferation in muscle, bone, and cartilage tissues and enhances glucose uptake more effectively than insulin. In circulation, IGFs are bound to IGFBPs, which prolong their half-life and assist in tissue targeting. IGF-I is a potent activator of the AKT signaling pathway, promoting proliferation and inhibiting apoptosis. Human IGF-I is 100% homologous with bovine and porcine proteins. Low IGF1 levels have been linked to Alzheimer’s disease. Defects in the IGF1 gene cause insulin-like growth factor 1 deficiency, and several transcript variants exist.
