Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages:
- Better specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulations
- Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody has specificity for Mouse TIM-1/KIM-1/HACVR.
Target Information
CD365 (T-cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain 1, Tim-1) is a type 1 surface glycoprotein with an extracellular N-terminal immunoglobulin V-like domain, a mucin domain, and a short cytoplasmic tail. Its endogenous ligand is Tim-4.
CD365 acts as a receptor or co-receptor for several viruses, including hepatitis A and C, Ebola, Marburg, Dengue, Zika, West Nile, and Japanese encephalitis viruses, binding via phosphatidylserine on viral envelopes. Polymorphisms in the human CD365 gene (HAVCR1) are associated with infection susceptibility and disease severity.
CD365 is implicated in T-cell co-stimulation and is primarily expressed in epithelial cells, with high expression in A549, 769-P, and Caco-2 cell lines. It can also exist as a soluble protein generated by metalloproteinase-mediated proteolytic cleavage.
