Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
GPC3 is a cell surface proteoglycan that bears heparan sulfate. It may be involved in suppression or modulation of growth in mesodermal tissues and organs, and may play a role in modulating IGF2 interactions with its receptor.
Members of the glypican-related integral membrane proteoglycan family contain a core protein anchored to the cytoplasmic membrane via a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol (GPI) linkage. These proteins may play roles in cell division control, growth regulation, and tumor predisposition.
Deletion mutations in GPC3 cause Simpson-Golabi-Behmel syndrome (SGBS), characterized by pre- and postnatal overgrowth with visceral and skeletal anomalies.
