Antibody detects endogenous levels of VEGFR2 only when phosphorylated at Tyr996.
Target Information
KDR (FLK1, VEGFR2) is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase that binds vascular endothelial growth factor with high affinity. It is expressed early in development by endothelial cell precursors. FLK1 (VEGF Receptor 2) encodes one of the two VEGF receptors, known as kinase insert domain receptor. Its signaling and trafficking are regulated by multiple factors, including Rab GTPase, P2Y purine nucleotide receptor, integrin alphaVbeta3, and T-cell protein tyrosine phosphatase. Mutations of FLK1 (VEGF Receptor 2) are implicated in infantile capillary hemangiomas.
