Product Specific Information

The eBio124-1D1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD7 (gp40, Leu9), a 40 kDa receptor belonging to the immunoglobulin gene superfamily.
CD7 is expressed on most immature and mature T lymphocytes and T cell leukemias, as well as on NK cells, a subset of B cells, and malignant B cells.

Cross-linking of CD7 modulates T cell and NK cell activity, influencing calcium flux, adhesion molecule expression, cytokine secretion, and proliferation. CD7 associates directly with phosphoinositol 3'-kinase, and its ligation induces D-3 phosphoinositide production and tyrosine phosphorylation.

A clonogenic subpopulation of CD34(+) CD38(-) cord blood cells expressing CD45RA, HLA-DR, and high CD7 levels has lymphopoietic capacity, generating B cells, NK cells, and dendritic cells but not myeloid or erythroid cells. The CD7(+) phenotype marks primitive lymphoid progenitors.

CD7 may also cooperate with CD28 during Treg function; deficiency in both reduces Treg number and suppressive activity.

NovaFluor Compatibility:
Not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability testing.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer:
Required for optimal staining with NovaFluor conjugates.
Add 5 µL per sample before combining with cells.
For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

NovaFluor Technology:
Based on Phiton™ nucleic acid dye structures engineered for optimized fluorescence and minimized spillover.
Excitation: 552 nm; Emission: 612 nm; Laser: 561 nm (Yellow).
