Target Information
Zika virus (ZIKV), a member of the Flaviviridae family, contains a single positive-sense RNA genome translated as a polyprotein that is cleaved into structural (C, PrM/M, E) and nonstructural (NS1–NS5) proteins.
NS1 forms a glycosylated homodimer inside cells, essential for viral replication, and is secreted as a hexameric lipoprotein particle aiding immune evasion and pathogenesis.
