- In sandwich ELISAs, approximately 3% cross-reactivity with recombinant canine IL-2 is observed.
- Approximately 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-2 and recombinant porcine IL-2 is observed.
- Less than 0.2% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse, equine, bovine, rat, and cotton rat IL-2 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level: <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
Interleukin 2 (IL-2) is an immunomodulatory cytokine essential for the proliferation of activated T cells and the differentiation of B cells, NK cells, monocytes, and macrophages. IL-2 signals through the IL-2 receptor (IL-2R), a heterotrimeric complex whose gamma chain is shared with IL-4 and IL-7.
Expression of the IL-2 gene in mature thymocytes is monoallelic, representing a unique regulatory mechanism.
Disruption of IL-2-like genes in mice causes ulcerative colitis-like disease, indicating IL-2’s critical role in immune response regulation.
