Product Specific Information
In sandwich ELISAs, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Granzyme A, Granzyme B, recombinant mouse Granzyme D, Granzyme G, and human Granzyme H is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Granzyme B is a member of the granzyme serine protease family found in the granules of cytotoxic T cells and NK cells. It is crucial for inducing apoptosis in target cells via caspase activation and mitochondrial pathways. Granzyme B interacts with the mannose 6-phosphate receptor, functioning as a death receptor during cytotoxic T cell-induced apoptosis. It cleaves caspase-3 and Bid protein, initiating DNA fragmentation and cell death. Granzymes are neutral serine proteases stored in lytic granules of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells.
