Product Specific Information
The YGIC86 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Glycoprotein A Repetitions Predominant (GARP, also known as Lrrc32 or Garpin).
GARP is an approximately 80 kDa glycoprotein expressed on the cell surface and found in placenta, lung, kidney, heart, ovary, liver, skeletal muscle, and pancreas. Protein expression is observed on megakaryocytes, platelets, and activated regulatory T (Treg) cells.
GARP expression on Treg cells is necessary for their suppressive function, possibly related to its role as a receptor for LAP/TGF beta.
When analyzing platelets, use the Foxp3 Staining Buffer Set (Product # 00-5523) before staining with YGIC86. Fixation/permeabilization is not required for Treg cell staining.
YGIC86 does not cross-react with rat GARP.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on stimulated mouse splenocytes at ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize concentration for best performance.
PerCP-eFluor® 710 can replace PE-Cy5, PE-Cy5.5, or PerCP-Cy5.5.

Recommended filters: 685 LP dichroic mirror and 710/40 band pass filter (or 695/40 BP alternative).
Stable in 2% formaldehyde overnight at 4°C.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
GARP (leucine rich repeat containing 32) is a type I membrane protein with 22 leucine-rich repeats and a short cytoplasmic region.
It is expressed in CD4+, CD25+, FoxP3+ Treg cells and may serve as a surface marker for Treg identification.
