Product Specific Information

The B1.1 monoclonal antibody reacts with the human gamma delta TCR complex. The gamma delta TCR is expressed by a small subset of T cells in the thymus, peripheral lymphoid tissues, intestinal epithelium, and epidermis. These cells are suggested to recognize bacterial ligands and tumor cells in the context of MHC class I-like gene products, playing a role in immune regulation and bacterial infection response. This antibody serves as a phenotypic marker for gamma delta TCR-expressing T cells.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometry on normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (2 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Fluorochrome Information:
PerCP-eFluor® 710 emits at 710 nm and is excited with the 488 nm blue laser. Recommended filter: 710/50 bandpass (695/40 acceptable). Ensure instrument compatibility.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.

Target Information

TCR gamma/delta (T-cell receptor gamma/delta) are specialized T-cells essential for adaptive immune response. They recognize antigens differently from alpha-beta T cells and are primarily found within epithelial tissues. Gamma-delta T cells exhibit antitumor and immunoregulatory activity, with relevance in autoimmune and immunodeficiency disorders.
