Product Specific Information
Description:
The RM153 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD153 (CD30 ligand), a 40 kDa type II transmembrane protein belonging to the TNF superfamily. CD30-CD153 interaction is crucial for T cell activation and costimulation. CD153 expression on T cells is upregulated following TCR engagement, peaking 24–48 hours after activation. Signaling through CD153 supports costimulation of pre-activated T cells.
Applications Reported:
- Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested:
- Tested on activated mouse splenocytes
- Recommended ≤ 0.125 µg/test (in 100 µL final volume)
- Optimal titration required depending on cell number (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)
Excitation / Emission:
- 488–561 nm / 578 nm
- Compatible Lasers: Blue, Green, Yellow-Green
Filtration:
- 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered
Target Information
CD30 ligand (CD153) mediates cell proliferation, activation, differentiation, and apoptosis through CD30 binding. CD30 plays a key role in Hodgkin’s disease and other CD30⁺ lymphomas, acting as a costimulatory molecule in thymic negative selection. It is expressed on Hodgkin’s and Reed-Sternberg cells, some non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas, virus-infected T/B cells, and activated normal T/B cells. In T cells, CD30 is found on subsets producing Th2 cytokines and on CD4⁺/CD8⁺ thymocytes coexpressing CD45RO and IL4 receptor.
