Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
CA125 determinant is present on a high molecular weight, mucin-like glycoprotein. It is expressed in:
- Amnion and derivatives of coelomic and mullerian epithelium (pleura, pericardium, peritoneum)
- Adult tissues: epithelial cells of fallopian tube, endometrium, endocervix, pancreas, colon, gall bladder, stomach, kidney, apocrine sweat gland, and mammary gland
- Mesothelial cell lining of pleura, pericardium, and peritoneum
- Ovarian tumors (serous, endometrioid, clear cell types) and adenocarcinomas of mullerian type
