Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues, heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
CA125 determinant is present on a high molecular weight, mucin-like glycoprotein. It is found in:
- Amnion and derivatives of coelomic and mullerian epithelium (pleura, pericardium, peritoneum)
- Epithelial cells of fallopian tube, endometrium, endocervix, pancreas, colon, gall bladder, stomach, kidney, apocrine sweat gland, and mammary gland
- Mesothelial cell linings of pleura, pericardium, and peritoneum
- Ovarian tumors of serous, endometrioid, or clear cell types, and adenocarcinomas of mullerian type
