Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The protein encoded by the PRODH gene is a mitochondrial proline dehydrogenase that catalyzes the first step in proline degradation. Mutations in this gene can cause hyperprolinemia type 1 and may be associated with susceptibility to schizophrenia 4 (SCZD4). The gene is located on chromosome 22q11.21, a region also linked to DiGeorge syndrome and CATCH22 syndrome.
