Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is similar to ING1, a tumor suppressor protein that can interact with TP53, inhibit cell growth, and induce apoptosis.
This protein contains a PHD-finger motif common in chromatin remodeling proteins.
It can activate p53 trans-activated promoters, including p21/waf1 and bax.
Overexpression inhibits cell growth and induces apoptosis.
Allelic loss and reduced expression have been detected in head and neck cancers.
Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been observed.
