Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
Polycomb group (PcG) proteins form multimeric complexes that maintain transcriptional repression during development. PHC1 (polyhomeotic homolog 1), also known as EDR1, HPH1, or RAE28, is a 1,004 amino acid nuclear protein and a component of the PcG PRC1 complex. This complex modifies histones, remodels chromatin, and mediates monoubiquitination of Histone H2A. PHC1 exists as a homodimer and contains one FCS-type zinc finger and a SAM domain. The PHC1 gene is located on human chromosome 12.
