Target Information
Membrane-associated guanylate kinase with inverted orientation (MAGI3) is a 130 kDa guanylate kinase belonging to a family of multi-PDZ domain-containing guanylate kinases. These kinases are localized to epithelial cell tight junctions. MAGI3 cooperates with PTEN/MMAC to modulate AKT/protein kinase B (PKB) activity, positioning PTEN/MMAC to specific subcellular locations involved in cell proliferation and survival regulation. MAGI3 and related proteins contain an N-terminal guanylate kinase domain, a WW domain with conserved tryptophan residues, and five PDZ domains.
