This antibody detects endogenous levels of JAK2 only when phosphorylated at Tyrosine 570.
Target Information
Janus kinase 2 (JAK2) is a protein tyrosine kinase involved in cytokine receptor signaling pathways and is mutated in polycythemia vera. It contains the catalytic domain (JH1) of JAK2. Activation of JAKs leads to phosphorylation of STAT proteins, which dimerize, translocate to the nucleus, and regulate transcription of interferon-stimulated genes. JAK2 is essential for IFN gamma-receptor complex initiation, while JAK1 acts as an amplifier. Mutations in JAK2 are associated with Budd-Chiari syndrome, Polycythemia vera, Thrombocythemia 3, myelofibrosis, and Acute myelogenous leukemia.
