Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of JAK2 only when phosphorylated at Tyrosine 931.
Target Information
Janus kinase 2 (JAK2) is a protein tyrosine kinase involved in specific cytokine receptor signaling pathways and is mutated in polycythemia vera. It contains the catalytic domain (JH1) of JAK2. Activated JAKs phosphorylate STAT proteins, which dimerize and translocate to the nucleus to regulate transcription of interferon-stimulated genes. JAK2 is required for IFN gamma-receptor complex initiation, while JAK1 acts as an amplifier. Mutations in JAK2 are associated with Budd-Chiari syndrome, Polycythemia vera, Thrombocythemia 3, myelofibrosis, and Acute myelogenous leukemia.
