For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Ubiquitin is a highly conserved protein involved in targeting cellular proteins for degradation via the 26S proteasome.
The UBA52 gene encodes a fusion protein consisting of ubiquitin (N-terminus) and ribosomal protein S27a (C-terminus).
Upon expression, the protein is processed post-translationally to generate free ubiquitin monomer and ribosomal protein S27a.
Ribosomal protein S27a is part of the 40S ribosomal subunit, contains C4-type zinc finger domains, and is localized in the cytoplasm.
Pseudogenes derived from this gene exist in the genome.
Similar fusion proteins include ribosomal protein L40 (with ubiquitin) and ribosomal protein S30 (with ubiquitin-like protein fubi).
