Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human beta-NGF. Anti-Human beta-NGF-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human beta-NGF matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human beta-NGF by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL is required. In conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human beta-NGF (500-P85Bt), this antibody allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human beta-NGF.

Western Blot:
To detect Human beta-NGF by Western Blot, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human beta-NGF is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Nerve growth factor (NGF) influences the survival and differentiation of various neuronal and non-neuronal cells. NGF binds to specific cell surface receptors with high and low affinity sites, where only the high-affinity receptor mediates signal transduction. Studies show that the high-affinity receptor forms a 158 kDa complex with NGF, while the low-affinity receptor forms a 100 kDa complex. Human and rat NGF receptor genes share over 90% sequence homology. NGF regulates growth and differentiation of sympathetic and sensory neurons, and dysregulation is associated with conditions such as hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy type 5 (HSAN5) and allergic rhinitis.
