Product Specific Information
Description:
The 6H6 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD123, the alpha chain of the IL-3 receptor. This 60–70 kDa transmembrane protein binds IL-3 with low affinity by itself, and with high affinity when associated with CD131 (common beta chain). CD123 is expressed by myeloid precursors, macrophages, dendritic cells, mast cells, basophils, and megakaryocytes.

The 6H6 antibody is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
This antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use is 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test in a final volume of 100 µL. Suitable for 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information
IL-3Ra (Interleukin-3 receptor subunit alpha) belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family and forms a heterodimer with the common beta (CDw131) subunit. IL-3Ra mediates IL-3 signal transduction and is required for receptor activation. It is overexpressed on acute myeloid leukemia (AML) blasts compared to normal hematopoietic cells, making it a potential therapeutic target.
