Product Specific Information

The eBioRDR5 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD127 (Interleukin-7 Receptor alpha).
CD127 forms a complex with CD132 (common gamma chain) to create the IL-7 receptor (IL-7R). It is a type I glycoprotein (75–80 kDa) expressed on immature B cells, thymocytes, and most mature T cells, with transient down-regulation upon activation.

IL-7 binding triggers signal transduction via tyrosine kinase pathways (Jak/STAT), essential for lymphocyte development and T-cell homeostasis. CD127 expression is down-regulated on CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells (Tregs), and low CD127 expression enriches for Foxp3+ suppressive Tregs.

Binding of eBioRDR5 to PBMCs is blocked by recombinant human IL-7.
This antibody is validated for flow cytometry, pre-titrated for use at 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test (100 µL final volume; 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Post-manufacturing filtration: 0.2 µm.

Target Information

CD127 (IL-7Rα) is a glycoprotein regulating lymphopoiesis. The IL-7 receptor is an α/γ heterodimer, with the γ-chain shared with IL-2R.
CD127 signaling promotes proliferation of B cell precursors, thymocytes, and T cells.
Dysfunction of CD127 is associated with severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) phenotypes.
