Interleukin 9 (IL-9)은 활성화된 T helper 2 (Th2) 림프구에서 생성되며, B 및 T 림프구, 비만세포, 호산구, 상피세포 등 다양한 Th2 관련 천식 반응 세포를 조절합니다.
마우스 IL-9 cDNA는 144개의 아미노산 전구체 단백질을 암호화하며, 18개의 신호 펩타이드가 절단되어 14 kDa의 성숙 단백질을 형성합니다. Native mouse IL-9은 높은 당화 수준을 가집니다.
최근 연구에 따르면 TGF-β는 IL-17 생성 T helper 세포와 조절 T 세포의 분화에 중요한 역할을 하며, Th2 세포를 IL-9을 분비하는 Th9 세포로 재프로그래밍하는 데 관여합니다.
