Product Specific Information
This antibody recognises the extracellular domain V between residues 420 and 431 in MARCO both in human and bovine samples.
Target Information
MARCO (SR-A6, SCARA2) is a macrophage surface receptor belonging to the class A scavenger receptor family. It binds Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria through a C-terminal SRCR domain. The protein includes short cytoplasmic and transmembrane domains, an extracellular spacer, and a long collagenous domain that can form trimeric structures. Due to its expression in tumor-infiltrating macrophages and its immunosuppressive role in the tumor microenvironment, MARCO is considered a potential target for cancer immunotherapy.
