Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody A1exF5 recognizes both human and mouse Arginase 1 (Arg1), a cytosolic enzyme.
This clone is compatible with standard intracellular staining and Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set protocols.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on stimulated mouse bone marrow cells using the Intracellular Fixation & Permeabilization Buffer Set (Product #88-8824-00).
Recommended usage: ≤0.25 µg per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimal titration is recommended.
Fluorophore Information:
PerCP-eFluor™ 710 emits at 710 nm and is excited at 488 nm (blue laser).
Recommended filter: 710/50 bandpass (695/40 acceptable alternative).
Light sensitive – protect from light.
Fixation Guidance:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in dark conditions with minimal impact on brightness or FRET efficiency.

Target Information
Arginase-1 (Arg1) is a 35 kDa enzyme that converts L-arginine to urea and L-ornithine in the final step of the urea cycle.
It plays a role in cell proliferation and detoxification by regulating nitric oxide production through arginine degradation.
Expression:
- Human: liver, neutrophils, myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSC), neural stem cells
- Mouse: liver, alternatively activated macrophages (M2a), tumor-infiltrating myeloid cells
Defects in Arginase 1 cause argininemia, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by hyperammonemia.
