Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

Calponin은 얇은 필라멘트 관련 단백질로, 평활근 수축의 조절 및 조정에 관여합니다.
Actin, calmodulin, troponin C, tropomyosin과 결합할 수 있으며, 평활근 및 평활근이 많은 조직에서 발현됩니다.
Calponin에는 34 kDa 및 29 kDa 두 가지 isoform이 존재하며, 29 kDa 형태는 주로 비뇨생식기계 근육에서 발현됩니다.
또한 Calponin은 양성 및 악성 유방 병변의 근상피세포에서도 발현이 확인되었습니다.
이 항체는 smooth muscle, myoepithelial cells, myofibroblasts, keratinocytes 및 nerve fibers를 염색하며, 유방 병변에서 근상피세포를 식별하고, collagenous spherulosis(양성)와 adenoid cystic carcinoma를 감별하는 데 도움이 됩니다.
침샘 종양의 adenoid cystic carcinoma는 Calponin 양성으로 나타납니다.
