For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Oncostatin M (OSM) is a growth and differentiation factor involved in the regulation of neurogenesis, osteogenesis, and hematopoiesis. It is produced by activated T cells, monocytes, and Kaposi’s sarcoma cells, and can exert both stimulatory and inhibitory effects on cell proliferation.
OSM stimulates the proliferation of fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells, and Kaposi’s sarcoma cells, while inhibiting the growth of certain normal and tumor cell lines. It also promotes cytokine release (e.g., IL-6, GM-CSF, and G-CSF) from endothelial cells and enhances LDL receptor expression in hepatoma cells.
OSM shares structural and functional characteristics with LIF, IL-6, and CNTF.
