Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine IL-3. The anti-Murine IL-3-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and biotinylated. Lyophilized from sterile-filtered PBS solution.

Sandwich ELISA:
For detection of mIL-3 by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. When used with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Murine IL-3 (500-P53) as a capture antibody, it enables detection of 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant mIL-3.

Western Blot:
For detection of mIL-3, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL of this antibody. In conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant mIL-3 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Interleukin 3 (IL-3), also called Mast Cell Growth Factor (MCGF), Multi-Colony Stimulating Factor (multi-CSF), or Eosinophil-CSF (E-CSF), is produced by activated T cells, mast cells, and eosinophils.
IL-3 is a hematopoietic growth factor that stimulates colony formation of erythroid, megakaryocyte, neutrophil, eosinophil, basophil, mast cell, and monocytic lineages.
Human and mouse IL-3 share 29% amino acid sequence identity, and their bioactivity is species-specific. IL-3 supports proliferation of various hematopoietic cell types and is involved in cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. It also exhibits neurotrophic activity and may be associated with neurologic disorders.
