Target Information
TTK is a serine/threonine kinase closely related to SPK1, PIM1, and CDC2 serine/threonine kinases.
It is a dual-specificity kinase capable of phosphorylating tyrosine residues.
TTK consists of a heteromeric core enzyme composed of a catalytic subunit and a constant regulatory subunit that associates with various regulatory subunits.
The constant regulatory subunit A acts as a scaffold for assembling the catalytic and variable regulatory B subunits.
TTK encodes an alpha isoform of the constant regulatory subunit A. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
