TIM3 (Hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 2, HAVCR2, T-cell immunoglobulin, mucin-domain containing-3)
TIM3는 281개의 아미노산으로 구성된 Type-1 Th1 특이 세포 표면 당단백질로, CD4⁺ Th1 및 CD8⁺ Tc1 세포에서 발현됩니다.
이 단백질은 세포외 영역의 IgV 유사 도메인과 뮤신 유사 도메인, 세포질 영역의 티로신 인산화 모티프를 포함합니다.
TIM3는 대식세포 활성화 및 자가면역 질환 유도에 관여하며, Th1 매개 면역 반응을 억제하고 면역 관용 형성에 기여합니다.
병리학적으로는 실험적 자가면역 뇌척수염(EAE)과 관련이 있으며, 마우스 모델에서 질환의 중증도를 증가시킵니다.
