Target Information
TIM3 (Hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 2, HAVCR2, T-cell immunoglobulin, mucin-domain containing-3)는 281개의 아미노산으로 구성된 Type-1 Th1 특이 세포 표면 당단백질로, 말기 분화된 CD4+Th1 및 CD8+Tc1 세포에서 발현됩니다.
TIM3는 IgV 유사 도메인, 점액질 유사 도메인, 세포질 내 보존된 Tyrosine phosphorylation motif를 포함하며, 대식세포 활성화 및 자가면역 질환 유도에 관여합니다. 또한 Th1 매개 면역 반응을 억제하고 면역 관용 발달을 촉진합니다.
TIM3의 병리학적 중요성은 Th1 의존성 자가면역 질환인 실험적 자가면역 뇌척수염(EAE)에서 확인되었으며, 마우스 모델에서 질병의 중증도를 증가시킵니다.
