Product Specific Information

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Target Information

CEP164 was initially identified as a centrosomal protein but is also involved in the formation of primary cilia, the microtubule-based sensory antennae projecting from many eukaryotic cells. It plays a role in the DNA damage response as a mediator protein interacting with ATR and ATM, which trigger cellular responses including DNA damage-induced cell cycle checkpoints. CEP164 is phosphorylated upon replication stress, UV radiation, and ionizing radiation. Silencing of CEP164 reduces DNA damage-induced phosphorylation of several proteins in the signaling cascade and compromises cell survival after UV damage. At least two isoforms of CEP164 are known to exist.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
