Description:
The 145-2C11 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD3e, a 20 kDa subunit of the TCR complex. CD3e, along with gamma and delta subunits, is essential for TCR assembly, trafficking, and surface expression. CD3 is expressed by thymocytes and all mature T cells. Binding of 145-2C11 to TCR can induce activation, proliferation, or apoptosis depending on conditions. Commonly used as a phenotypic marker for mouse T cells.

Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended ≤1 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize titration for best results.

eFluor™ 450 is an alternative to Pacific Blue™, excited at 405 nm and emits at 445 nm. Ensure instrument compatibility.

Target Information
The CD3 subunit complex is critical for transducing antigen-recognition signals in T cells and regulating TCR surface expression. CD3 subunits (gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta) are part of the immunoglobulin superfamily encoded on chromosome 11. These subunits interact with intracellular signaling molecules via tyrosine-based motifs. CD3 is expressed on most T lymphocytes and thymocytes but not on B or NK cells. Mutations in CD3 genes can lead to CD3 immunodeficiency.
