Product Specific Information
The LN3 monoclonal antibody reacts with the human MHC class II molecule, HLA-DR, expressed on antigen-presenting cells including B cells, monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and activated T cells.
HLA-DR is a heterodimeric transmembrane protein essential for peptide presentation to CD4⁺ T lymphocytes.

- Applications Tested: Pre-titrated; 5 µL (0.03 µg) per test for 100 µL cell sample
- Cell Range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test
- Excitation: 633–647 nm; Emission: 780 nm; Laser: Red Laser
- Light Sensitivity: Protect from light; tandem dye sensitive to photo-oxidation
- Fixation: Compatible with IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333); stable up to 3 days at 4°C in dark

Target Information
HLA-DR is a transmembrane glycoprotein composed of a 36 kDa alpha chain (DRA) and a 27 kDa beta chain (DRB).
- Alpha chain (DRA): 5 exons; exon 1 encodes leader peptide, exons 2–3 extracellular domains, exon 4 transmembrane and cytoplasmic tail.
- Beta chain (DRB): Contains polymorphisms determining peptide-binding specificity.
- Hundreds of DRB1 alleles are known; typing used in bone marrow and kidney transplantation.
- Expressed on antigen-presenting cells: B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, thymic epithelial cells, activated T lymphocytes.
- MHC Class II loci: DR, DQ, DP.
- Critical for peptide presentation to T-helper cells and immune response initiation.
- Used in Immunopeptidomics for neoantigen identification via LC-MS/MS.
