Target Information

Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with four core histones, it forms the nucleosome structure.
Histones play key roles in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.
Post-translational modifications of the H3 N-terminal tail, such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, influence chromatin structure and gene expression.
