Target Information

Histone H3 is a core DNA-binding protein within chromatin of eukaryotic cells. Together with other histones, it forms the nucleosome structure, playing key roles in:

  • DNA replication
  • Chromosomal stability

The N-terminal tail of histone H3 undergoes post-translational modifications such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, which influence chromatin structure and gene expression.
