Target Information

Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with other core histone proteins, it forms the nucleosome structure that organizes DNA. Histones play essential roles in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability. Post-translational modifications such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation on histone H3 tails influence chromatin structure and gene expression.
