Target Information

Phospho-EEF2 catalyzes the GTP-dependent ribosomal translocation step during translation elongation. In this step, the ribosome transitions from the pre-translocational (PRE) to the post-translocational (POST) state, moving the A-site-bound peptidyl-tRNA and P-site-bound deacylated tRNA to the P and E sites, respectively. This process coordinates tRNA movement, mRNA translocation, and ribosomal conformational changes.
