Target Information

Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with other core histones, it forms nucleosomes by binding to DNA.
Histones play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.
The N-terminal tail of histone H3 undergoes various post-translational modifications, such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, which influence chromatin structure and gene expression.
