Target Information

Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein present in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with other core histones, it forms the nucleosome structure that organizes DNA.
Histone H3 plays a vital role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.
Its N-terminal tail undergoes multiple post-translational modifications, such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, influencing chromatin structure and gene expression.
