Target Information
Arginase-1 (Arg1)는 35 kDa 효소로 L-arginine을 urea와 L-ornithine으로 전환시켜 요소 회로의 마지막 단계를 수행합니다. 생성된 polyamine은 세포 증식과 단백질 분해로 인한 독소 제거에 중요합니다. Arginine을 분해함으로써 Arginase 1은 NO synthase의 기질을 감소시켜 nitric oxide 생성을 조절합니다. 인간과 생쥐 모두에서 Arginase 1은 간, 호중구, MDSC, 신경 줄기세포 등에서 발현됩니다. 인간에서는 혈액 호중구에서 발현되며, 생쥐에서는 대체적으로 활성화된 대식세포(M2a)의 표지자로 알려져 있습니다. 또한, 종양 침윤성 골수계 세포에서 발현될 수 있으며 대부분의 간세포암에서 발견됩니다. Arginase 1 결함은 고암모니아혈증을 특징으로 하는 상염색체 열성 질환인 argininemia를 유발합니다.
