This antibody detects endogenous levels of total KCNJ4.
Target Information
Several potassium channels are involved in electrical signaling in the nervous system. Inwardly rectifying K⁺ channels preferentially allow potassium influx, contributing to the excitability of muscle cells and neurons. The KCNJ4 gene encodes an integral membrane protein of this channel family with smaller unitary conductance compared to others. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
